Topcon CA-800 Corneal Topographer
Corneal topography is a special photography technique that maps the surface of the clear, front window of the eye (the cornea). The purpose of corneal topography is to produce a detailed description of the shape and power of the cornea. Using computerized imaging technology, the 3-dimensional map produced by the corneal topographer aids our doctors in the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of various visual conditions. Topography allows us to more accurately fit special contacts for eye disease, such as scleral contact lenses, and CRT lenses for orthokeratology. This instrument sets us apart from other offices in ability to detect and treat corneal disease.
